Cancer Aid & Research Foundation presents Music Heals 2011– Legendary Journey of Music from Classical to Rock; a live concert by Legends and a symphony never heard before! Never before have four legendary music directors have come together for one live concert but it will happen on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Fans are looking forward to Music Heals because they are sure there has never seen or heard anything like it.  So brace yourself for the past-paced ‘Kajarare’, the melodious ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ and super sensitive ‘Tujhe sab hai pata…maa’.

Music Heals 2011 presents four legendary music directors i.e., Kalyanji-Anandji, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Shiv-Hari (Shivkumar Pandit & Hariprasad Chaurasia) and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, performing on one stage for the first time after 25 years. The Grand Musical Orchestra will feature 120 Musicians, Famous Anchor, Chorus Singers and never seen before instruments for the first time live on stage. The Music Heals show will be hosted by Anchor Annu Kapoor. This will be the first event of Trust Craft Events promoted by Kishore Sharma (music director and arranger) and Jayanti Gosher (renowned musician) who have been associated with the music industry for over 4 decades.

Leading playback singers of Indian film industry such as Kavita Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Alka Yagnik, Hariharan, Javed Ali and Sudesh Bhosle, Sanjay Tandon, Shashi Suman will perform melodious, evergreen and magical songs with a grand Orchestra & Chorus Singers. Javed Ali (of ‘Kajre Re’ and ‘Jashn-E-Bahara’ fame) and Sanjay Tandon (voice of the late legendary singer Mukesh) will also perform live.

Kavita Krishnamurthy says, “It has artists from the time we call ‘renaissance era of music’ to the modern age. Also it’s good to know that the money collected is not only going to aid the cancer patients, but also the research work.”

Loy Mendosa, of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio, says, “The set up is something India hasn’t witnessed in the recent past and it will be electrifying. With this event, we are making an attempt to make it large and hopefully we can do such a thing all over India. We are four music composers, six-seven amazing singers, 40 chorus artists and 120 live musicians. The show is associated with a noble cause. We have lost some of our closest people to cancer, so we didn’t want to let go of this opportunity to help raise funds.”

Annu Kapoor is versatile performer, who started his career as an actor in Shyam Benegal’s film ‘Mandi’ & thereafter acted in many other films, television serials & reality shows. He is best remembered for hosting the musical game show ‘Antakshari’. Known for his strong knowledge & passion for music & also a singer by himself, he is best suited to anchor this grand musical event.

It is universally accepted that there is no medicine like music - "Music Heals". This became the obvious choice for the title of a Grand Musical Evening. Live Performances by Legends. “Music Heals” is being organized to raise funds for all charitable activities of Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF). This fund raising drive event will give financial support for the treatment of Poor Cancer Patients.
