Priyanka Chopra wins the Best Actor Female at the Times of India Film Awards



National Award winner Priyanka Chopra , one of Bollywood’s most versatile actresses was recently celebrated at the 2013 (TOIFA) the Times of India Film Awards as she won the top honors for Best Actor Female for her performance in Barfi!.



Having received unprecedented applause for her performance as an autistic young girl in Anurag Basu’s Barfi! , the versatile Priyanka Chopra not too long ago also took home 2 Stardust Awards for Best Actress (Drama) which she shared with Sri Devi for English Vinglish and Star of the Year (Female) on the star studded evening.



The heart-wrenching love story between a deaf-and-mute boy and an autistic girl,also won Priyanka a Lions Gold Award for “Best Actress”, “Best Actress” – Popular Choice at the Screen Awards, Zee Cine Awards “Best Actress” and the Bollywood Hungama Sufers Choice Award.



Says Priyanka Chopra , “This film was a labour of love for all of us and to see it receive such amazing success is so gratifying. This has been the toughest character of my life and to see everyone loving Jhilmil is such a dream come true. I am thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful team who made this happen”.
