An honor for the beyond; Smt. Celine D’silva Marg at Ghatkopar! Honorable chief minister Shri Prithvi Raj Chauhan inaugurated Smt. Celine D’silva marg at Ghatkopar!

Yet another road named after somebody having given enough contributions to the society at large during her tenure, we are talking about the Ex Minister of State in Government of Maharashtra; Smt. Celine D’silva serving from 1985 – 1988.

After her demise in the year 2000, December, there was a void felt by the congress members of the constituency & then was when Smt. Celine D’silva’s daughter Smt. Janet D’souza took over.

Janet overwhelmed by the road naming behind her mother exclaims, “ I’m sure she is happy & content & she is watching over all of us. Things would have been much better if she were alive & support congress. Having Prithvi ji inaugurate the road is a huge honor in itself.”

Spearheading the event, founder of the Punjabi Global Foundation & General Secretary of Mumbai Regional Mahila Congress Committee, Gurpreet Kaur Chadha, “Smt. Celine D’silva’s contributions have been humongous & this is the least we could do. She will forever be a part of Congress & we are walking on her path.”
