Mumbai.28 September is celebrated as "Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti" all over India. On the occassion, ‘Akhil Bhartiya Agrawal Sammelan’s Mahamantri and Chairman of ‘Gandhi Vichar Manch’, Shri Manmohan Gupta said "I salute the Agrawal clan King Agrasen and greet the entire Agrawal community on the occasion. Maharaja Agrasen was big promoter of Agrawal community; he was also a great humanitarian, believed in equality and believed in non violence. 5000 years back, Maharaja Agrasen adopted non violence and equality and taught us to walk on it. To reduce the difference between rich and poor and for equality for new arrivals, Maharaja Agrasen made a rule "One brick, one Mudra (coin)," As per the rule, each house will donate one brick and one coin to the new arrivals so that they can create businesses and construct houses. For the happiness of the society, he spoke about the brotherly feelings towards each other. Today, we have to bring tha feeling among us. Once again, I greet every one on the occassion of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti."
Navaratri preparations in Mumbai on a high
Mumbai.As of today, Mumbai is gearing up for "Navaratri and Ramalila." Some shopkeepers are in mood to earn more profits and some followers are engaged in charity work. In such a situation, Shri Manmohan Gupta, the owner of MM Mithaiwala has decided to cut the sweet prices from 28 September to 5 October 2011. He wants people to enjoy the festival with cheaper sweets and offer it to the god. The Kaju Katri which costs Rs 560/kg will cost Rs 480, Malai Peda which costs Rs 370/kg will cost Rs 320, Khopra Pak costs Rs 320/kg and the new price is Rs 280 and the Shudh Ghee Boondhi which is Rs 240 will cost just Rs 160. Shri .Manmohan Gupta, the owner of MM Mithaiwala says "We should not look at our profit and should help people celebrate by reducing prices. I want to wish Navaratri to the people and request them to be vigilant so that no untoward events take place."
Gandhi Vichar Manch to hold special program on occasion of 2nd Oct Gandhi Jayanti
Mumbai.On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October, Gandhi Vichar Manch has organized a special program at 5.00 PM in the Billawar Association Auditorium,Aanand Nagar, Santacruz(E),Mumbai,. The chief guest will be Chief of Maharashtra Congress Shri Manikrao Thakare. The Special guest will be Bhojpuri singer and film Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament Sanjay Nirupam, MLA Aslam Sheikh and Thakur Ramesh Singh.
‘The Abhinay Institute of Arts's chief Smt. Chitra will present a skit on Gandhiji. The winners of painting and essay competition conducted by Gandhi Vichar manch will be honored. The Chief of Gandhi Vichar Manch, Shri Manmohan Gupta will be attending the entire programme. The committee’s Mithlesh Mishra, Ashok Sutrale, Kanbihari Agrawal, Kumar Khilare, Dilshad Khan, Radheshyam Diwedi,Jjai prakash Pandey etc will also be attending.
