The fashion industry is a step ahead with designing of special jewelleries and accessories meant for the forthcoming season. Manisha Mehta, Senior Designer of Bracialeto tells Feme Fashions that fashion itself is an unspoken language as it enhances one’s persona.
What is fashion to you?
Fashion is an unspoken language. It enhances a personality of a person.
Do you feel ‘Diamonds’ are women’s best friend?
It is a saying which needs to change with the ever changing world of fashion. The only drawbacks are price and lack of colour. Interestingly for me, murano glass beads work very well as a perfect rendition as an alternative to diamonds.
What is the latest trend when it comes to choosing jewellery?
A brand name, quality and a wide range of collection is the latest trend when an individual chooses jewellery. One should switch over to more colorful and vibrant accessories. Fusion jewelry is in. Quality Beads are here to stay. The flamboyant colors of beads make the accessories very attractive. A long bead necklace and vibrant bracelets make perfect possessions. Murano Beads are the newest collection of beads in the accessories and the fashion world. They are a perfect rendition to a changing trend in accessories.
How far do you think matching ones jewellery along with their attire?
Being comfortable is critical when one wears a piece along with the dress, apart from the matching factor.
Which principle do you follow when it comes to design?
It begins with a favourite colour then co-ordination and balance is the key to designing. Designing jewelry is a unique art that is different from other forms of art. A creative mind explores the inner-most wants of a customer. An imaginative designer with a penchant towards jewelry and design can satisfy not only her inner creativity but also those looking for jewelery.
What are your designs like?
My designs are more towards contemporary.
What is your signature style?
Purity, newness and trendy would be my signature style.
What’s special for this season?
We have charms specially crafted for this season.
Which colours go well in designing jewellery that is sporty?
Colours that dominate are red, black, white and blue.
What stones, metals, and likes are used in your jewellery?
We use murano lamp work beads and 92.5 sterling silver.
What is your process of designing jewellery?
Selection of beads based on choice and memories followed by co-ordination and creating jewellery you would love to wear.
What can we expect from your sporty designs?
Very soon we are launching a range of all sport charms. It has to pass stringent quality tests before it is added to our collection.
