*Matrix-style Samurai sword stunt leads to mishap on sets*

Vishal Bhonsle 's promos of Dadagiri are on now air now ,on the first day of
the shoot of the 4th season of hard-hitting reality show ‘Dadagiri’ on UTV
Bindaas with a big bang and a deadly accident! At 5 am, Vishal was doing a
dangerous stunt with a Samurai Sword wherein he was supposed to jump high in
true Matrix style and land in style in an attempt to give a super sexy shot.
However, when he landed, there was a cracking sound and he was flat on the
ground! Though he gave a kickass shot, Vishal was being carried on the
stretcher even as the crew congratulated him for his pyrotechnics. Fit as he
is, Vishal took the near-accident incident in his stride and was back to the
sets within no time.

Recalling the incident, the Dada of Dadagiri Vishal Bhonsle says,
“Considering that the fourth season of Dadagiri 4 on UTV Bindaas is
deadlier, meaner and tougher, it is apt that I should begin in style with a
hi-flying stunt! Sadly, it turned out to be too real and I landed with a
thud! But it was worth the effort as the shot came out to be exceptionally
brilliant. It set the pace for the show that wants only the fittest to
survive! And needless to say, I recovered fast due to my extremely high
fitness levels.”

The ‘Dada’ of ‘Dadagiri’, who was last seen on the big screen with Shahid
Kapoor in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Kaminey’ (as Steve), is confident that the
fourth season of the deadly reality show ‘Dadagiri’ will be more volatile,
tougher and meaner than ever before.

An enthusiastic Vishal Bhonsle says, “Even though my film career is on the
ascendant, ‘Dadagiri’ is one reality show that keeps pulling me back to
television like a magnet! In its 4th season, ‘Dadagiri’ on UTV Bindass
promises to be very volatile because the format of the show is such that
tempers may just flare up naturally without any rigging. There is no
unnecessary stuff to boost the TRPs but raw untamed passion. As the ‘Dada’,
I know that the contestants are instigated and pushed to the brink to such
an extent that they will be forced to fight back!”

Daredevil show ‘Dadagiri’ is quite different from the run-of-the-mill
reality shows, which are generally perceived to be rigged and where
participants are willing to go to any extent to get into the spotlight and
boost TRPs. These ‘unreal’ shows are nothing more than a race to the top and
one can stoop down to any level! But ‘Dadagiri’ dares to be different! In
the battle of TRP's, ‘Dadagiri’ is one daring show, which believes in
showing true-to-life reality the way it happens and that’s why Vishal Dada
is proud to be associated with this reality show with no fiction in it.
Incidentally, Vishal has just signed a key role in UTV Spotboy Productions’
film but will make time for ‘Dadagiri’.

The first season of ‘Dadagiri’ had the famous "slap incident", which just
happened naturally. The second season had contestants hating "Vishal" in the
beginning for being so rude and difficult to them...and then tables turned
and they ended up having high regards for him and actually loving him. In
fact, in the words of the contestants “wana be like Vishal DADA cause love
the way he gets the best out of us" to "he's my idol" In its third season,
‘D3’ became India’s first reality show to feature real guns, real guts &
real life army heroes. It featured 14 ordinary young people living a
commando’s life as they sweated it out on several designed missions &
training. Season 3, which was "D3 commando force" and the contestants got a
feel of what our commandoes go through during their training.

In ‘Dadagiri’, Vishal played the most cruel and meanest character in a
reality show, but he is just the opposite in real life. Vishal Bhonsle, aka
Bhai in Dadagiri is the personification of the meanest side of human nature.
Among all the bullies in the show, he is the meanest of the lot. He picked
on the participants to make their life a nightmare. He truly enjoyed trying
all the harsh tricks on them.

But Vishal Dada always had an attitude! When he went for the audition of
‘Kaminey’, Vishal Bharadwaj was impressed with him due to his cool look,
style and feel. At that time, Vishal was doing ‘Dadagiri’ and had this
really whacky hairstyle, a little like Aamir Khan’s Ghajini hairdo.
Bharadwaj selected him after having auditioned about 300 to 400 people for
the role. Vishal did an acting course from Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting
institute. In 2001, he participated in the Gladrags Megamodel Hunt and won
the title of Best Physique. Later he got into personal training and trained
Vijay Mallya for a period of two years. Eventually, he got bored of it and
did a few ramp shows. Later, he bagged a television serial ‘Babul Ka Aangan
Choote Na’ and then ‘Dadagiri’ happened.

Vishal says that life is the greatest teacher. “I have had my share of
problems but I am what I am today because of my experiences. Initially, I
did not know the difference between having an attitude and being arrogant. I
ended up being arrogant and refused films left, right and centre. After a
point I stopped receiving offers and that is when I realised that I was
wrong. I was even offered Abhishek Chaubey’s Ishqiya, but I refused it. You
need to be humble and sweet to everyone. Even if you are talented, you have
to promote yourself. There is no place for arrogant people in the industry.
Most importantly you must know to emote and express. No matter how
good-looking I am, nobody would want to see me on screen if I can’t act,” he
says.

Vishal has a different take on it ---“Acting is the perfect and seamless
blend of my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual quotients. I love
playing characters that test the limits of human endurance. I have been
through tough times and I enjoy playing a difficult character, which
actually makes life difficult for people and eventually makes them tougher
and more confident.”

“You need to be humble and sweet to everyone. Even if you are talented, you
have to promote yourself. Most importantly you must know to emote and
express. No matter how good-looking I am, nobody would want to see me on
screen if I can’t act,” Vishal says.
