INK Infrastructure's India Resort Fashion Week ,2011 a runaway success


India's first-ever India Resort Fashion Week kick started Wednesday in Goa, with Indian designers realizing the need to move beyond ethnic and bridal wear and focus on resort wear, a segment rapidly gaining momentum. 

 Presented by INK Infrastructure, the India Resort Fashion Week 2011 (IRFW) ,was a four-day fashion fete with more than 15 designers from across the country participating from designers Shantanu and Nikhil, James Ferreira, Babita Malkani, Shivan and Narresh to Narendra Kumar,Manish Malhotra and Pria Kataria Puri



Apart from being one of the most bankable names in the real estate market, INK Infrastructure is also associated with the I AM SHE pageant, India's official representative at the Miss Universe Pageant and sponsors the Inter-University Hockey Tournament .And if that wasn't all , INK Infrastructure brought to India the first ever unprecedented fashion week created solely to celebrate resort wear in India  and the world over. An initiative to promote Indian resort fashion and world over, India Resort Fashion Week 2011 (IRFW) was held in Goa , 7th - 10th December, 2011, showcasing the finest works of the country's most coveted resort wear designers.

  Said Pallav Ojha, director, UVAR, one of the organisers of IRFW.."With the India Resort Fashion Week, we have created an avenue for buyers around the world to witness India's talent in this area.



Said  IRFW COO Shalini Chuganee , "We are hoping the amalgamation of international quality standards with the finest resort wear designer collections will take Indian resort wear to the global fashion map," 

 The highlight of the event was Bollywood Diva Sushmita Sen walking the ramp for the finale on request of close friend Imtiaz Khatri for designers Shantanu and Nikhil. 

 Confirms Imtiaz Khatri " It is an honor to be a part of this one of a kind fashion week, which is distinct from other shows in India .The India Resort Fashion Week, 2011 was a huge success and we look forward to having a bigger better show next year"
