7 Khoon Maaf, a thriller and black comedy film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead role.
The film, based on Ruskin Bond's short story, Susanna's Seven Husbands, features seven male leads with Naseeruddin Shah
who plays the oldest husband, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh as well as Irrfan Khan, Annu Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah's
youngest son Vivaan Shah, as the youngest husband and Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko, in the roles of the seven husbands.
Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing a negative character. 7 Khoon Maaf scheduled for release on 18 February 2011.
A story of an Anglo-Indian woman Susanna Anna-Marie Johannes, a beautiful woman who goes on to kill all her seven husbands.
The film's score and songs are composed by Vishal Bhardwaj and the lyrics are penned by Gulzar. The official soundtrack contains seven songs and two reprise versions.
Priyanka Chopra is, currently, making news for her rebellious and negative character in Vishal Bharadwaj’s upcoming film ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’. In the film Priyanka depicts different stages of a woman’s life right from her 20s to the 60s as she goes about marrying and murdering seven of her husbands.
The film is based on renowned author Ruskin Bond’s short story ‘Susanna’s Seven Husbands’ and is slated for a 18th February release.
This is the 2nd time that Priyanka has teamed up with director Vishal Bharadwaj after the critically acclaimed ‘Kaminey’.
Priyanka has already earned rave reviews including a National award for her stellar performance of a model in Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’. She has been surely carving out a niche for herself in the industry. Now a lot of expectations ride on her as the release date of ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ draws closer. The film looks promising and thrilling.
